The M2E-1 encoder is designed to generate two digital programs from two sources of analog video signal with stereo sound. Using a multiplexer built into the device, the generated digital signal is added to the transport stream arriving at the M2E-1 input. The combined transport stream is fed to the output M2E-1. In order to form the desired program package, several M2E-1 can be sequentially combined along the inputs and outputs of the transport stream, each of which adds its own programs to the generated transport stream (the principle of distributed multiplexing). Or, the trunk input can be used to select one or several programs from an arbitrary transport stream. The transport stream from the M2E-1 output can be fed to the D2T-4 or QTX-1 input for modulation and transfer to the frequency of the selected TV channel and feed it to the cable network.
