The system is designed to provide paid access for cable TV subscribers to the viewing of television programs transmitted in digital format.
The system consists of a coding device installed at the studio, and subscriber decoders made in the form of a standard Conditional Access Module for receivers having a CI slot, or built into certain receivers.
Features of the system:
– number of digital trunks to 62;
– number of programs in the trunk to 15;
– a high level of protection against hacking due to the rapid change of encryption keys and the possibility of updating (up to a complete change) the coding architecture, decoder software from the head station during the broadcast;
– a flexible system for managing access rights: from one TV program to the preparation of an individual package to one subscriber.
The system is controlled by a personal computer with the help of a specialized program included in the delivery package. The PC is connected to the SCR-1 controller via Ethernet.
The system encoder is located in blocks D2T-1 or QTX-1, QTX-2. Carried out in the form of standard Conditional Access Modules, subscriber decoders allow operators and users of cable television networks to be free in terms of selecting subscriber receivers. There are also tuners with built-in decoders STV-CRYPT.
